Author, Cindy Lou Moldovan
Cindy Lou Moldovan was born and raised in the tropical paradise of Belize, Central America, until the age of eighteen, when she moved to Houston, Texas. In her memoir, 'Growing Up Third World,' Cindy wrote about her experience of moving from Belize to America and often shares funny and real stories of what it was like growing up in a large family with ten siblings. Cindy attended Lee College of nursing in Baytown, Texas, and worked in Houston for twenty-five years until she retired from the medical field of nursing. To add to her title as Triathlete, Cindy became the first Belizean female PADI certified Scuba Divemaster. She has guided numerous dives to the world-famous Belize Blue Hole and Belize's barrier reef. She followed her passion for writing romance novels. She is an active member of RWA, TRRW, and Penn Writers. Cindy is always willing to help others and volunteers with The Junior League of Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh's Veterans hospital. Some of her hobbies and interests include long walks, hiking trails, and state parks, kayak on lakes and rivers, theatre, and the arts, listening to many different genres of music, and never gets tired of gazing at mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, and stream. She has a passion for travel and learning the culture and the history of places she visits around the globe. A budding wine connoisseur, Cindy enjoys haute cuisine and entertaining family and friends. When cooking, she always starts by procuring one of her prohibition cocktails. A true Belizean at heart, Cindy retains a love for good coffee, strong brewed sweetened black tea, and a romantic outlook on her life ahead of her. The proud mother of three adult daughters and grandmother of four, she is passionate about her family, often visiting them in Texas and South Carolina, for long conversations, priceless hugs and kisses, and sweet stories from any of her four grandchildren.
